Great Ocean Road Coast Committee

The Great Ocean Road Coast Committee (GORCC) manages 37 kilometres of coastal Crown Land reserves along Victoria's iconic Great Ocean Road, from Point Impossible east of Torquay to Cumberland River southwest of Lorne.

 

GORCC’s role includes operating the Torquay and Lorne Foreshore Caravan Parks and managing the leases for two others (privately operated).

Adventure Race

Fitness fanatics and lovers of the outdoors flock to the many endurance events held in Lorne each year. The Pier to Pub Swim and the Mountain to Surf Run are both held in January and attract large numbers of competitors. The Great Ocean Road Marathon kicks off in May and the Anaconda Adventure Race in December is a popular way to get the blood pumping.

For those who prefer to get their thrills from the raw energy of rock music, The Falls Festival, held every New Year's Eve, is an essential experience.

Camper Education Activities

We want everyone to love, protect and enjoy our beautiful coast as much as we do.

 

So we offer campers the opportunity to engage in hands on learning opportunities that will equip them with the knowledge and skills to protect and enhance their beautiful coastal surroundings.

 

These education session are run every Summer and Easter period for more information or to register visit the TFCP office.
